Coronavirus Covid-19 important information

Update 17th July 2021

We already have a series of measures in place at Lebberston to manage Covid risks and although many legal restrictions are being lifted, all responsible and reasonable steps remain necessary to protect our guests, staff and family. Our park has a small team who work closely together and live in the same building, as such if any of us contract Covid-19 the park will have to close therefore the need to ensure we all keep safe is paramount so you can enjoy your holiday with us at Lebberston Touring Park.

From Monday 19th July we will be opening two further ladies showers, two further gents showers and the shower in the unisex room of Lebberston Vale amenity block. We will be asking everyone entering the amenity blocks to continue wearing a mask unless inside a shower cubicle. The sinks will remain out of use with the exception of those used for hand washing. The family bathroom and tourist information/library area will also remain closed.

We are continuing to operate with reduced pitch numbers and therefore a reduced number of guests to provide plenty of space and ensure our park and facilities are as safe as they can be for everyone staying with us therefore day visitors are not permitted onto the park. As ever all measures are under constant review and we will continue to do everything possible to provide a peaceful, relaxing park for all our guests while keeping everyone as safe as we can.

Updated 17th June 2021

Thanks to the herculean efforts of our brilliant NHS staff, volunteers, government and our world leading UK scientific community, our team are now fully vaccinated against Covid-19.  This means we are delighted to be able to go ahead with the planned opening of some of our showers on 21st June 2021.

To enable social distancing to be complied with there will be one ladies and one gents shower accessible in each block.  The disabled shower room will also be available in the top block however the family bathroom and shower in the unisex room of Lebberston Vale will remain out of use.

While some showers will be accessible from Monday the advice strongly remains to use your own facilities wherever possible, especially if you are from an area with higher levels of Covid-19 infections and/or have not been fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

Please use hand sanitiser when entering the amenity blocks and wear your mask while moving around in the buildings.  You can of course remove your mask when using the shower but do make sure you replace it when leaving the shower cubicle.

Please do not stay in the shower for extended periods.

If the facility you would like to use is occupied, please wait outside in the fresh air until it is free or return at a quieter time.  Please do not queue in the building.

All the doors to the amenity blocks are left open to enhance ventilation and reduce touch points with our facilities being cleaned and checked regularly throughout the day.  If you see something amiss in between times, please contact us immediately and please stay safe.

Updated 12th May 2021

More good news!  We can open our toilets, potwashes and laundry from 17th May.  Unfortunately from the information and guidelines issued we will not be able to open our shower and bath facilities at this time.  This will be under review at Stage Four on the roadmap out of lockdown and we will keep you updated as and when this can change.

Updated 5th April 2021

Good news!  We’ve now had confirmation that we’re allowed to open on Monday 12th April 2021.

When you arrive at the park just give us a ring on 01723 585723 and we’ll lift the security barrier up to let you through.  Please can one person then come to the reception window and we’ll get you booked in.

Alternatively, if you’d prefer to pay before you get here, just give us a ring with your card details.  We can then take you straight to your pitch when you arrive.

At the moment there are no indoor shared facilities available for use i.e. toilets, showers, bathroom, shower room, laundry, potwashes, shop, reception and tourist information area.

All drinking water, waste water and chemical disposal points are accessible and have hand sanitizer dispensers adjacent to them all. Please do remember this is not an alternative to thorough hand washing when you have used any of these facilities.

It is now a legal requirement that we must obtain the details of all guests over the age of 16 visiting our park.  QR codes are also supplied on arrival paperwork and around the park and should be scanned each day.

Please note that visitors are not permitted onto our park at this time.

We can’t wait to welcome you to Lebberston Touring Park very soon for some well-deserved relaxation and a change of scene!

Updated 23rd February 2021

Following the PM’s announcement on 22nd February we are really looking forward to being able to welcome you back to Lebberston.  If everything goes according to plan we hope be able to open our park on 12th April 2021.  This date is subject to conditions being met that have been set by the government in their roadmap out of lockdown and is the earliest the changes can happen.

When we are permitted to open there will be no access to any shared amenities i.e. toilets, showers, bathroom, laundry, potwashes, shop, reception and tourist information area.  This will be reviewed regularly with reference to government guidelines and our own risk assessments.  We hope this will eventually mean something a bit more normal over the course of late May and June.  When we are eventually able to allow access to park facilities our advice would still be to use your own whenever possible.

We are taking bookings for arrival from 12th April 2021 with our top priority being to protect the safety of our guests, team members, family and local community during the current Covid-19 pandemic.

We cannot wait to be able to welcome you onto our park soon and if you have a query regarding any of the points made above, any of the guidelines or other matter related to your stay with us, please get in touch.

Updated 30th July 2020

The health and safety of all our guests, team, family and local community is always our priority as we continue to adapt to our new normal with Covid-19.

From 3rd August it is our aim to have limited access to toilets facilities on our park.  Two ladies, two gents and one unisex toilet will be available for use.  These will be cleaned to our usual exceptional standards with additional measures in place to make them as safe as we can.  These measures will include a limit on numbers in the building to ensure social distancing, the use of masks while in the building, application of hand sanitiser before entry and posters noting the importance of thorough hand washing after use.  We hope this will help those of you who find using your own caravan facility difficult.

Covid-19 has not gone away and the strong recommendation remains that if you can use the toilet in your own unit you should do so.  This greatly reduces the risk to you, your family, our other guests, our team, our family and our local community from the spread of the virus.  All other shared facilities will remain closed.

This is subject to review and change at any time, possibly at short notice, so please bear with us as we continue to adapt to the ongoing situation.

We hope you are enjoying your summer and look forward to welcoming you to Lebberston Touring Park.

Updated 11th May 2020

Following the PM's Covid-19 update on Sunday 10th May we've had several enquiries regarding the possibility of our park opening.  At the moment this looks unlikely until July at the very earliest.

The PM mentioned some areas of the hospitality sector may be able to open then however it should be noted that this was very clearly not all of the hospitality industry and is dependent on many targets being met. We understand your wish to visit the Yorkshire Coast but the government will of course need to take into account the large volume of people wanting to take holidays and the inevitable impact on local communities and NHS trusts in tourist areas and the ability to actually social distance in public before lifting any restrictions on holidays.

We know this is disappointing and if we have any more updates we will of course post them on Facebook and our website. In the meantime, please stay safe and healthy.

Updated Monday 23rd March 2020

Following Government instructions our park is now closed.

We will be in touch with all of our Lebberston caravanning family regarding existing bookings, be they touring or seasonal, as soon as we can but please bear with us as work our way through this process.

To all of our fabulous guests, we’d like to say a huge thank you for your patience and understanding at what is a very difficult time for everyone.  We are so lucky to have so many lovely people that enjoy coming to stay with us and we will sincerely miss you all in the months ahead.  These really are unprecedented times and at present we do not know when we will be able to open again.  We will of course keep our website updated with any news.

So for now, please stay safe and our heartfelt thoughts are given to those who have been and will be affected by the current pandemic.

With every good wish from all of the team at Lebberston Touring Park.
