Get the flags out, today is Yorkshire Day!  Obviously Yorkshire is the best place to be for 365 days a year but today is even more special.  There is sooooooo much going on all over the place.  Knights at Scarborough Castle, Dracula at Whitby Abbey, The Railway Children at the National Railway Museum, East Riding Theatre celebrating our food, beer, verse and song, Sewerby Hall town crier competition and morris dancing, we've got it all going on.  Check out the Welcome to Yorkshire website for tonnes of things to see and do across God's Own County this weekend.

Four parks in the Scarborough Borough have been awarded a prestigious Green Flag for being great green spaces!  Peasholm Park and Falsgrave Park in Scarborough, Glen and Crescent Gardens in Filey and Pannet Park in Whitby all achieved this quality mark.  These Green Flags nicely compliment the Blue Flags awarded to the brilliant beaches of Scarborough's North Bay, Whitby, Hornsea and Bridlington's North Beach.  Well done and big thanks to all the hard workers who put in so much work to make our towns so lovely to be in.

How about a throwback to mid 20th century America with the Moonlight Cinema Drive-in this weekend?  There's Grease, Dirty Dancing and Jaws to choose from, just click here for more info and have a great time!
